Kelo-Cote®: Does Kelo-Cote® Work?

Kelo-cote® is promoted as a scar gel that has been shown to help smooth, soften and flatten scars. However, according to the manufacturer, Kelo-cote® is not formulated to help with pitted acne scars. It is stated that Kelo-cote® contains silicone as part of its ingredients, and silicone has been shown to help reduce the appearance of scars. According to the manufacturer, a reduction in redness and itchiness associated with scarring can be noticed within the first ninety days of using Kelo-cote®, and it can be used effectively on all skin types and colors as well. It has also been stated that Kelo-cote® will not ruin clothing or harm the hair.
