Mederma Review:
Our research staff has reviewed Mederma and has found that Mederma is marketed to help reduce the appearance of any type of scar including old and new scars. Mederma is gel based; however, it does not contain silicone as part of its ingredient. What Mederma does have as a key ingredient is Onion Extract, which has been found to work the same a petroleum jelly. It has been shown that silicone will act as a barrier over the scar and help moisturize as it heals and keeps dirt and debris away.
Our review staff has found that many customers that used Mederma were left with a white residue on the scar and it did not absorb into the skin as well. Results for Mederma are said to take up to six months to show. There are other scar removal products on the market that can show positive results in reducing the appearance of a scar in as little as 90 days and without any side effects.
