Some scar removal products on the market may only work on certain types of scars. So, before you purchase a scar cream or serum you want to make sure that you find a scar treatment product that will work on ALL types of scars. You also want to find a scar product that uses silicone. It has been shown that silicone will act as a barrier over the scar and help to moisturize as it heals. Some scar treatment products may use silicone as part of its ingredients but because of the additional ingredients may actually dilute the affects that the scar cream or serum will have. So before you purchase a scar product make sure that it uses 100% medical grade silicone.
